Glen Cove police tell News 12 it was notified by the Glen Cove School District of the possible threat on Monday.
The department investigated the matter, speaking with students and the district.
Following a joint review with school officials, the threat was determined to be not credible.
Police are encouraging parents to monitor their children’s social media activity to help prevent similar incidents in the future.
