A man is recovering after being stabbed overnight at a Brownsville housing complex, and the person responsible is still out there.

It happened just before midnight at the Van Dyke Houses on Sutter Avenue.

A 43-year-old man was stabbed in the shoulder and taken to Brookdale Hospital. He’s expected to be OK.

The person who did it ran off and hasn’t been caught. Authorities say they’re looking for a man last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and gray sneakers.

So far, it’s not clear what led up to the stabbing.

This comes just days after a separate stabbing nearby on Dumont Avenue, where three people were hurt Sunday. Police have not said the two cases are connected.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
