Suzanne Fountain, 59, was one of the lives lost Monday.
A source from the Dutchess County Fairgrounds says Fountain and her family have been involved for many years there.
The Fountain family were members of the Agricultural Society, and her brother is a director at the fairgrounds.
Friends describe Suzanne Fountain as "a bright light... a peace lover... and a strong feminist."
