A Rockland man was arraigned this morning in an alleged drunk driving crash that killed a little girl and injured others earlier this month in Spring Valley.
Axel Lopez-Santiago, 41, of Spring Valley, appeared in a wheelchair and pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including aggravated vehicular homicide and manslaughter.
The courtroom was packed with family and friends of 4-year-old Goldy Eisenbach, who died in the crash on Nyack Turnpike. Several others were also injured.
Lopez-Santiago was indicted after an investigation found he had purchased four Four Loko cans and had a blood alcohol level of 0.19 at the hospital hours after the crash.
He also repeatedly admitted to driving drunk that night, according to prosecutors.
He has a prior DWI conviction from 2018.
Lopez-Santiago was remanded to Rockland County Jail until his next court date.
