The Cannabis Control Board voted Friday to adopt regulations around hemp.

The new rules limit the amount of THC in hemp products sold in the state, attempting to keep people safe and uphold the work of the state's licensed dispensaries.

Of those dispensaries, several also had their licenses renewed Friday, including at least four in Westchester and the Hudson Valley.

The Office of Cannabis Management also reported Friday the state's dispensary and growers showcases have generated more than $112 million in sales in 2023.

Several producers have said there aren't enough dispensaries yet in the state so showcases are the only thing helping them survive.
