It's a bustling travel weekend as the Hudson Valley gears up to welcome the New Year.
Thousands of travelers are anticipated to return home.
The TSA is preparing to screen over 2.5 million people at airport security checkpoints nationwide each day throughout this weekend. Comparatively, during this period last year, nearly 2.4 million passengers were screened by the TSA, indicating an expected increase in activity this year.
Travelers are advised to adhere to certain guidelines:
  • Pack smart: Avoid bringing prohibited items like firearms and other weapons.
  • Arrive early: Given the anticipated rush, plan to arrive at least two hours before your scheduled flight.
  • Keep your ID easily accessible when in the screening line to streamline the process.
