The cast of the Amazon Prime series "Gravesend" was filming season 3 in Rockland County on Tuesday.

"Season 3 on 'Gravesend,' I think, is going to be the best season by far,” says Paul Borghese, a local actor on the series.

The cast was filming at the Blauvelt Sons of Italy Lodge. It's now being used as a regular location for the new season.

Shaquille O’Neal is joining the cast as a series regular.

News 12 had an exclusive interview with him and the cast.

"'Gravesend' is my favorite show. When I contacted Will just to tell him I was a fan, he asked me if I wanted to be in season 3. So, season 3 is going to be very, very exciting,” said O’Neal.

The TV series is a crime drama on Amazon Prime. It's directed by William DeMeo, who also stars in the series. The series also stars Paul Borghese, Chris Tardio, Chazz Palminteri, Andrew Dice Clay, Fran Drescher, Talia Shire, Tony Darrow, Mario Cantone, William Forsyth, Armand Assante and many others.

"It's going to be very exciting. It's based back in the 1980s. I don't want to tell you too much, but I just had a wonderful job, and I met some of my favorite actors,” said O’Neal.

For Borghese, a Rockland County resident, it's an honor to film part of this season close to home.

"It's really exciting for me to not only be filming a show that I'm playing a role in in Rockland County but the Blauvelt Sons of Italy is like a home away from home for me,” he said.

Season 3 is expected to come out in 2025.

"I really love the new element that the Shaquille O’Neal character, Mustafa…I think people will really love how we created that,” said DeMeo.
