First responders say they sprang into action after a kayak capsized Saturday afternoon. One person was rescued.

Officials responded to the scene at Dennings Point in Beacon.

Responders say the person was found clinging to the kayak, 200 yards from shore.

A Bannerman’s Island tour boat helped officials with a throw ring.

The victim was taken to Long Dock Park, but declined medical treatment.
