Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
State police in Poughkeepsie say a suspect is in custody for a robbery that took place at a Chase bank. Police responded to the robbery Saturday afternoon at the Chase bank on Main Street, according to authorities. While a suspect is in custody, police say an investigation is still ongoing.
A Garnerville man has been arrested for sending explicit videos and photographs of himself to someone he believed was a minor. The Stony Point Police Department and Rockland County District Attorney's Office say Victor Peraino, 35, sent the sexually explicit material to an undercover officer who he thought was a 14-year-old girl. Authorities arrested him after he showed up at a pre-arranged meeting location where he allegedly planned to engage in sexual activity with the minor. Peraino was released and is due back in court Aug. 22.
And a White Plains family is picking up the pieces after a fire broke out in their home on Concord Avenue. The homeowner tells News 12 the fire started in the basement. None was injured. The cause of the fire has not been released yet.
