The beloved owner of Star Wines and Liquors in Monroe has passed away at the age of 64.
Alanson Short lived in the Monroe area for more than 30 years.
His family released a statement saying, “He treated everyone who came into the store, like family. We are completely devastated, and he will never be forgotten.“Short leaves behind his wife, Suzanne, his adult son, Mel, a sister, nieces, and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Smith, Seaman and Quakenbush Funeral Home in Monroe.
