Daniel Smith is two-year captain of the cross country and track teams. Last week, he won the 3,200 meter conference championship and secured his second All-County award in track. He also has two All-County awards and All-State honors in cross country.
He is the National Honor Society president and has a 96 unweighted GPA. He was selected for the prestigious Boys State Leadership conference. He's also an anchor for the school's in-house news network. He also sings in the chamber choir and volunteered at the Long Island Children's Museum.
Daniel will attend and run for Bowdoin College in Maine.
