The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office says Gustavo Hernandez and his nephews, Walter Ramirez Jeronimo and Wilson Ramirez Jeronimo, tried to kidnap Juan Carlos Diaz Jeronimo in 2024.

After their attempts were thwarted by a passing motorist, they followed him to a nearby gas station.

Officials say they beat and choked Jeronimo then forced him into a truck.

His body was later found by a resident walking along Garity Place in Farmingdale.
