Two of Yonkers' finest rushed to the aid of a 3-year-old boy and saved his life Tuesday.
Andrea McLynn said she discovered her son, Brandon, with a blue face, having a seizure, on the living room floor at her home on Tower Place. McLynn said she felt hopeless and called 911 immediately.
Officers Brian Zerega and John Nagle, both of the 4th Precinct, were down the block and arrived on scene quickly. The partners picked the boy up, sped away in their patrol car and performed CPR on route to the hospital.
The McLynns called Zerega and Nagle heroes.
"Yonkers PD is the best," Brandon's father, Jay, said. "They didn't even think, they just went into action."
Brandon, who had wanted to be a police officer when he grows up even before the incident, was feeling much a few hours later. However, doctors said he has a virus and about a 20 percent chance of sustaining another seizure within the next 24 hours.
