A business in Yonkers is showing support to tenants who were displaced by a massive fire at their apartment complex Tuesday evening.
Paige Loonan says her son was home when their fifth-floor apartment went up in flames. She says he made it out safely, and went to the place he works, Ladle of Love, located next door.
Restaurant co-owner Jennifer Lampert immediately sprang into action.
“We are offering free meals for as long as needed to anyone affected by this devastating fire,” she says.
A GoFundMe account has also been set up to raise money for the victims.

Lampert says she is making sure the victims stay warm and nourished with enough soup to help them get back on their feet from inside the Roosevelt High School gym, which is now a makeshift reception center for dozens of the displaced tenants.
Neighbors like Kristen Fletcher are doing their part for her friends by donating clothes and offering moral support.
“Not only is there trauma, but also actual needs for food and clothing,” says Fletcher.
