Westchester County Executive George Latimer is providing a coronavirus update.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in Westchester is 8,556. Latimer says the stats are encouraging as it continues to fall.
There are now 891 total deaths in the county due to the virus. There were 21 deaths yesterday.
Westchester County Center is inactive but ready for overflow COVID-19 patients.
More than 80,000 residents have been tested in Westchester.
The American Chinese United Care Alliance (ACUC) donates 20,000 masks, $19,300 in cash, 100 plastic protective gowns and 400 gloves to the county.
Two golf courses open this weekend, but there are no plans to open other parks or swimming pools.
