A dog owner was issued summonses after Village of Tuckahoe police say his bull terrier was involved in an incident with a teenager Monday morning at a Tuckahoe park.
Police say the owner was given summonses for "a dog at large in a park" and "a vicious dog" in connection to the incident at Circuit Avenue Park.
The boy's mother says the dog was unleashed, and her son was bitten on his legs and back.
Her son was treated at the hospital and is home recovering.
The mother says there are signs that say dogs are not allowed in the park.
