A fire damaged a gas station convenience store in Chester early Tuesday morning and knocked out power to several nearby businesses.
The fire broke out shortly before 2 a.m. at the Mobil station at Route 94 and Brookside Avenue.
The fire chief said police first spotted smoke coming from a generator on the side of the building.
Officials said the flames spread to the convenience store.
Multiple fire departments responded and spent about an hour bringing the fire under control.
The blaze also caused power outages at several nearby businesses, including the Holiday Express.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
