Valley Central schools on 'heightened alert' due to 'non-specific' threat

The superintendent of Valley Central schools says that officials were on heightened alert Friday, with additional police presence, due to an unspecified threat.
"We received information regarding a non-specific and out of county threat to NY schools from a concerned parent," Superintendent Evette Avila wrote.
Safety protocols and measures were activated as a result, Avila added.
