Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger has named Europa McGovern as the new Director of the Department of the Environment.
McGovern, who has been the department's Deputy Director since last year, is currently serving as the Acting Director.
Prior to this, she held the position of Senior Environmental Resource Technician within the department and is an active member of the Climate Smart Communities Task Force for Dutchess County.
