The Social Security office in Poughkeepsie is reopening with a new look and a new address.

Starting Monday, the office will welcome visitors at 4 Academy St., just around the corner from its former Main Street location. It had been closed since January for renovations and has been operating from a temporary site.

Hours will remain the same — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Visitors are encouraged to book appointments to help reduce wait times.
