State officials announced the Saturday closure of the southbound side between Ulster and Orange counties.
The closure is necessary for the removal of the remaining Brookside Road overpass in New Paltz.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Saturday and will last for approximately 12 hours. Drivers are strongly advised to plan alternate routes to circumvent potential traffic issues.
