Dramatic viewer video given to News 12 shows a car engulfed in flames on Route 6 in Woodbury Thursday morning.

Woodbury Fire Chief Christopher Burke tells News 12 the cause remains unknown but may have been an engine problem. Burke says the driver was out of the vehicle and was not hurt.

Burke says the fire backed up traffic and caused a secondary accident when another driver tried to make a U-turn and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

State police say the two-vehicle crash happened around 10:45 a.m. The oncoming vehicle rolled over after the collision.

The driver and passenger in the vehicle making the U-turn, along with the other driver, were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
