Drivers in Rockland County should expect delays on Route 304 in Clarkstown for the foreseeable future.

State Department of Transportation crews have reduced Route 304 northbound to two lanes at the Route 59 overpass.

Officials say the lane reduction is needed so repairs can be made after part of the bridge was struck by a vehicle.

The extent of the damage has not been released.

DOT officials have not said how long the repairs will take.

For now, the lane closure is expected to remain in place until further notice.
