Crash knocks down utility pole, closes Route 300 on Ulster-Orange line

A Monday night crash closed a busy Hudson Valley overnight.
The accident brought down a utility pole and wires onto Route 300 at the county border separating the town of Newburgh in Orange County from the hamlet of Wallkill in Ulster County.
The road was closed from Quaker Street to East Rock Cut Road, and over 34 residents remain without power.
The road was reopened and power was restored by 11 a.m.
No other details about the crash have been released.
