‘This will be an emergency’: Gov. Hochul stresses seriousness of impending storm

Gov. Kathy Hochul has announced that emergency crews and utility workers are currently deployed across the state, actively preparing for the incoming weather.

The Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) is proactively clearing storm drains on parkways.

Hochul strongly advises all drivers to avoid the roads later today, especially during the anticipated peak of the storm's severity.

"Let me be clear. This will be an emergency. It will be serious. And we're urging all New Yorkers to exercise extreme caution at this time."
