Students at Good Counsel Academy in White Plains held a rally Wednesday afternoon to save their school from closing.
The school's junior class took their PSAT tests Wednesday morning, and despite having an early dismissal, they remained at the school to hold their rally.
The Sisters of the Divine Compassion, who own and operate the campus, recently retained a real estate firm to try and market the property. A spokesperson for the school says many of the nuns are getting older, making it harder to maintain the school.
The school is considering relocating to New Rochelle, but some students say that's not an option for them.
The nuns have been told they must vacate the property by July 1.
