String of vandalism in Yorktown probed as possible hate crime

Officials say a string of vandalism found in Yorktown is being investigated as a possible hate crime.

Officials say a string of vandalism found in Yorktown is being investigated as a possible hate crime.
The vandalism included a toppled menorah at Veterans Memorial Park, four shattered glass doors at the Yorktown Stage and multiple windows broken at the John C. Hart Memorial Library.
Windows at the First Presbyterian Church and St. Patrick's Old Stone Church were also destroyed.
Officials believe the incidents happened between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.
Yorktown police are urging anyone with information to come forward by calling 914-962-4141.
