Over 1,600 U.S. flights canceled Saturday due to global technology outage
5ds agoHeavy rain and gusty winds have resulted in widespread flooding and downed trees which are wreaking havoc on commuting across the Hudson Valley.
In addition to numerous closed roadways, Metro-North reports buses will replace Hudson Line service between Garrison and Beacon due to flooding. Northbound riders should exit the train at Cortlandt for bus service. There is no service at Cold Spring, and no northbound service from Garrison.
Commuters are advised to watch for slippery surfaces and build in more travel time in the morning and to check mta.info or the TrainTime app for possible weather-related service changes or delays.
At the Croton-Harmon station, sections I and H of the parking are closed due to flooding. Drivers that ignored barriers and cones found their vehicles partially submerged when high tide flooded the sections from 9 a.m. -11 a.m.

Bee-Line buses are also experiencing delays and detours:
- Route 1 – 5 minutes
- Route 4– up to 25 minutes
- Route 7 – 10 minutes
- Route 13 – 10 minutes
- Route 14 – 8 minutes
- Route 21 – 10 minutes
- Route 42 – 10 minutes
- Routes 1, 11, 14, 17, 27 in Elmsford on route 9A and Warehouse Lane
- Route 13 in Ossining at S Highland and Revolutionary Rd.
- Route 15 in Hawthorne closure at Broadway and Brighton Ave.
- Routes 20, 21 and 28 southbound in Yonkers at Central Ave. South and Yonkers Ave.
- *Nepperhan Ave. and Executive Blvd. is clear for regular route
There is also quite a few delays and cancellations at local and regional airports. Be sure to check with your carrier before heading out.
