A storm that brought up to 4
inches of snow to parts of the Hudson Valley has left slippery conditions on roads this morning.
News 12 meteorologists say
that areas below I-287 only received a coating of wintry mix, but that central and northern Westchester and
Rockland counties got about an inch and half of accumulation. Orange, Putnam, Dutchess and Ulster counties got upward of 2 to 4 inches of snow.
Areas of patchy black ice
made for dangerous driving as temperatures were at or near freezing
for much of the morning. As the day progresses it will dry and mainly cloudy
today with highs around 42.
Most of the week will be
mainly sunny with highs in the high 30s to low 40s.
A weekend storm is looking to
stay offshore, but worth watching. Otherwise, dry as of now. Highs around 39
with a mix of sun and clouds both Saturday and Sunday.
