The cleanup continued in Clarkstown on Sunday after storms left extensive damage in the area.
News 12 crews saw several trees and wires down across Upper Nyack. Some residents in the village said their neighbors don't have power.
News 12 spotted several Orange & Rockland workers in the area trying to fix the situation. A few of their trucks were spotted near North Midland Avenue where workers told News 12 that several primary lines need attention.
They blocked off a portion of that road which prevented some people from trying to get to Marydell Faith and Life Center. Jose Ventura, a New Jersey resident, said he and his mom drove 45 miles to come worship at the retreat center.
"Well, we're going to try and see if we can call the rest of the members, I guess...and see what other alternatives we got for the day," Ventura said.
Orange & Rockland crews on the scene said it was an all-hands-on-deck operation to restore power and clean the area up.
The mayor of Upper Nyack issued a memo to residents saying a noise law is suspended through Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. The suspension allows residents to use their gas-powered leaf blowers.
