Spring Valley man sentenced to over seven years in prison for shooting

The victim recounted that before Castillo shot her, he was on a fire escape ladder outside the home.

Kevin Castillo, a Spring Valley man, has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison for an assault involving a shooting, as reported by the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.
The incident occurred at a Spring Valley residence last year.
The victim recounted that before Castillo shot her, he was on a fire escape ladder outside the home.
When she opened a window to instruct him to leave, Castillo shot her in the arm. Despite leaving the area, Castillo was arrested about an hour later.
