Haverstraw PD, good Samaritan rescue swimmer at Emeline Park

The Haverstraw Police Department says officers spotted an unconscious 52-year-old man about 100 feet from the shore.

Haverstraw police and a good Samaritan saved a man from drowning Friday evening at Emeline Park, according to authorities.
The Haverstraw Police Department says officers spotted an unconscious 52-year-old man about 100 feet from the shore.
They rushed in the water and pulled him to safety with the help of the good Samaritan.
Police say his pulse reemerged after CPR was performed. He was then hospitalized for further treatment.
