Change could be coming to the village of South Nyack.
Residents can cast their votes in December on whether to dissolve the village and receive public services from Orangetown.
This comes after South Nyack residents submitted a petition in August wanting the break, citing high tax increases over the years.
The village board took that action last night.
A report on the pros and cons will be released to the public in November.
