A driver is dead
after a fiery head-on crash between a
fuel tanker and a smaller car in
Greenburgh.
Poice say the
crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Route 9A also known as Saw Mill
River Road.
The smaller car
and cab of the tanker burst into flames, and firefighters
used foam to extinguish the fire.
Greenburgh
police say one of the drivers is dead, but have
not indicated which driver. The extent of injuries
for the other driver has not been released.
The road was closed in both directions between Hunter Lane and Dana Road for most of the morning. The road has since reopened.
Police have not yet
confirmed if any other cars were involved.
