Poughkeepsie council member accused of attempted assault

Police say two arrests were made stemming from a series of grand larcenies and burglaries in the Purchase neighborhood of Harrison.

A 36-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman allegedly stole several thousand dollars' worth of tools from a construction site, according to police.

Last month, Jose Hernandez-Done, of Yonkers, and Mercedes Yudelka Morgan, of New Jersey, entered two homes under construction and attempted to steal tools.

They face burglary and grand larceny charges.
