Route 202 in Suffern was reopened Tuesday night after a fire tore through an apartment building.
Route 202 was closed from Memorial Drive to Orchard Street while firefighters from as far as New Jersey battled the fire at 156 Wayne Ave.
Fire officials say the fire started in the basement and quickly spread to the second floor. They say it's not clear what started the fire.
There was extensive damage to some of the building's 16 units. Fire crews cut off power and gas to the building, and say it may take a few days before tenants can return.
Luckily, no one was injured in the fire.
