New Rochelle authorities say a former middle school teacher has been indicted on multiple charges tied to alleged threats against school and district officials.
Samuel McVey, 47, of Briarcliff Manor is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Westchester County Court, according to the district attorney’s office.
The charges include grand larceny, criminal contempt, aggravated harassment, and bail jumping.
Prosecutors say McVey made threats against the school and district officials. He was first charged in February, shortly after he was fired as a Spanish teacher at Isaac Young Middle School. Authorities say he also posted numerous videos on YouTube.
McVey has denied the allegations. Officials say he failed to appear in court, prompting a warrant for his arrest.
He was taken into custody in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in April and returned to Westchester the following month. He has been held on bail since then.
