Recall alert: Nara Organics voluntary recalls powdered infant formula

The DCP stated that caregivers who have the recalled formula should stop using the product immediately.

Nara Organics is issuing a voluntary recall of its powdered infant formula that was distributed nationwide in stores and online at Target stores as well as the company's official website.

The Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) is advising the public that Nara Organics of New York is recalling all lots of powdered infant formula due to a potential risk of Clostridium botulinum contamination.

The products affected include Nara Organics Whole Milk Infant Formula, 700g, with UPC 860013251901 and the Nara Organics Whole Milk Infant Formula, 400g, with UPC 860013251918.

The DCP stated that caregivers who have the recalled formula should stop using the product immediately.

Additionally, the DCP stated that if an infant has recently consumed the formula and starts developing symptoms of infant botulism, such as respiratory difficulty, poor feeding, and/or an altered cry, seek immediate medical attention.

The DCP directs consumers interested in refunding the product to visit the Nara Organics website.
