A 15-month-old is heading home after spending eight months at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla battling a rare disorder.

Anthony Rocco's condition required a ventilator and a feeding tube during much of his hospital stay.

Now, Anthony is off the ventilator and celebrating a major milestone as he leaves the hospital and returns home with his family.

The occasion was marked with a special graduation-themed photoshoot.

Anthony's mother says the family has been documenting every milestone with photos.

"I get to show him one day everything he's been through and how long it took for him to come home," said Jackie Rocco. "And we'll have these pictures to remind us of how strong he's been and will always be."

Anthony's parents say they plan to continue the photoshoot tradition as he reaches new milestones at home.
