All five Poughkeepsie City School District elementary schools have been designated schools in "Good Standing" for the first time in 13 years.
According to the latest New York State Department of Education state accountability school designations for the 2023-2024 school year, the improved status means all of the elementary schools showed progress in the areas of student achievement, student growth, attendance, and English language learning.
