Croton-on-Hudson police arrested a man for allegedly causing an explosion on Sunday.
Police say 38-year-old Shea Kirschbaum threw an explosive device onto a neighbor’s Van Wyck Street property after a dispute. The explosion damaged multiple items.
The Westchester County Bomb Squad says the explosive was a 3-inch commercial display mortar, which is illegal in New York.
Officials say a search warrant was obtained for Kirschbaum’s home, and no additional explosives were found.
Kirschbaum was charged with criminal mischief for damaging the property of another person with an explosive.
