A Hyde Park Central School District BOCES student is dead, and three others were injured in a crash, according to police.

Town of Hyde Park police say the crash happened on South Quaker Lane just before noon on Wednesday.

The driver and front-seat passenger were found with life-threatening injuries.

The two back-seat passengers were found with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

All four were taken to the hospital. The driver was pronounced dead.

Police say the car lost control, left the roadway and hit a utility pole.

All are students at Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School and BOCES.

Counselors will be available to students at school on Thursday and Friday.
