An inmate at the Orange County Jail is dead after an apparent suicide.
Authorities say a corrections officer found 30-year-old Shandi Parisi, of Newburgh, unresponsive in her cell on Saturday.
Parisi was later pronounced dead at Orange County Medical center.
The sheriff's department is investigating the case.
