A man is facing charges after deputies say a road rage incident escalated to a gun threat in Putnam County.

The incident happened Saturday on Peach Lake Road in Southeast.

Authorities say Brandon Tompkins threatened another person during a confrontation.

Deputies responding to the scene located a loaded handgun inside his vehicle.

Police body camera footage shows officers ordering the driver to turn off the car and roll down the windows.

Tompkins was arrested and charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was arraigned and bail was set at $500 cash.
