There is still outrage after the Board of Legislators voted last month to ban menthol cigarettes.
Opponents gathered outside the county office Tuesday, calling on Westchester County Executive George Latimer to veto the bill.
Protesters say the ban will not only hurt businesses but eliminate jobs and target Black smokers. They also say the ban will have no public health benefit as smokers will continue to purchase cigarettes outside the county or through the black market.
A county spokesperson said they have heard from both sides and that the county executive's decision will be announced next week.
