A Nuclear Regulatory Commission panel pulled into Tarrytown Wednesday to give its annual assessment of the Indian Point nuclear power plant in Buchanan.
At the meeting, both neighbors and elected officials voiced their concerns about the plant's nuclear reactors.
The plant has seen its share of recent issues, including unplanned shutdowns and a tritium leak discovered in February.
Ultimately, the NRC panel says Entergy is safely operating Indian Point, which is seeking a 20-year lease renewal.
