Newburgh Free Academy campuses opened after a three-hour delay Thursday following an investigation into a threat against the high school,
according to the school district.
“Last night, the district received an unverified threat that mentioned our high school. This delay will allow local law enforcement authorities time to investigate the matter further," the district said in a statement shared overnight.
Employees were also told to arrive to the school three hours later than they normally would.
No other information is known at this time.
