Police: 2 Ramapo officers assaulted during traffic stop

A man is facing multiple charges for assaulting two Ramapo police officers during a traffic stop on Thursday, according to authorities.

The police department says the officers pulled over a 27-year-old driver from Nanuet for having a suspended license and two active warrants.

He began to hit and injure the officers as they tried to arrest him.

Authorities say both officers were hospitalized.
