Federal investigators handed down additional subpoenas in the Ridge Hill development case on Friday.

They requested to see e-mails and other communications between council members and Al Pirro, a consultant on the project. Pirro, ex-husband of former Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, has not been subpoenaed in the case.

Federal officials are also looking into the involvement of Melvin Lowe, another consultant for the firm, who was in direct contact with council members.

Council members Pat McDow and Sandy Annabi are now among those who will have to testify before a grand jury. In the summer of 2006, Annabi changed her vote from opposing the project to being in favor of it. Federal investigators are looking into the possibility that she may have benefited from the switch. Both McDow and Annabi deny any wrongdoing.

There is no comment from Pirro?s office.

The case won?t affect the construction of the $650 million project, which began this past November after a long delay.
