New Rochelle police and DPW have launched a tracking program for catalytic converters.
New Rochelle has been the site of many catalytic converter thefts, with a total of 145 stolen over the past two years.
In the first stage of the program, police are giving victim’s converters identifiable labels to prevent thefts.
The police and DPW also say they will soon extend the program to all residents.
